YAY for followers!

TWO more followers! That makes THREE! YAY! :) It really is the little things in life! haha. Anytime I get a new comment or follower, I make sure to announce this to my husband which of course gives him a laugh but the little things are what makes me happy. I promise to post more blogs soon! Everything has just been so hectic with shipping my stuff from GA to Italy, his stuff from Florida to Italy, and me making the trip down to Florida to be with him before we leave for Italy. Hopefully once we get over to Italy things will calm down. HA! What am I thinking..?? We will still have to find a place to live, get settled in, etc. PLUS we are moving right around the holidays. This should be interesting. At least I will have new and interesting adventures as a new Army wife to write about!

I also wanted to say a quick "Thank You" to all of our troops, past and present! God bless!

I am off to watch my husband play more Black Ops.. as if I haven't already done that for HOURS and HOURS since he got it. Boys and their toys!

Thank you again to my three awesome followers! Can't wait to have more! :)

HAPPY VETERANS DAY!!

Everything is gone...

The movers came this week. This is my first move as an Army wife and watching them move my stuff was kind of hard for me. I felt weird not helping and for strangers to be touching my things. It was also hard because I know I am leaving my family and friends. It is possible that I may have cried, just a little. Ok, a lot! For now I am sleeping on a air mattress in my old bedroom. I'll be leaving here in 3 days to fly down to Florida to be with my husband. At the end of the month we will be flying from Florida to Italy. It's so hard to process all of this. It doesn't feel real yet.

I am SO excited to see my husband though. I know it's only been a couple weeks and that we will have to face MUCH longer separations but I miss him SO much. We talk everyday over FB, text messages, and phone calls but I miss seeing his face.

I haven't blogged at all since my first post. It's just been hectic around here and my internet has been doing this fun and awesome thing where it decides when it wants to work. I only have one follower right now anyway BUT if I want more followers, I have to keep blogging! :)

With Love,
Jess

My First Blog Post!

I have been following other mil-spouse blogs for a few months now and have been meaning to start one myself. So here it goes...

I really have no idea how to start my blog so I am borrowing a questionnaire from ACUs and ABCs.

Questions About Us:

1. When and how did you meet?

We actually met at a bar! He was in my hometown for a class at Fort Gordon and was hanging out with friends at a popular bar/nightclub. I was walking by with a friend of mine when he asked us to have a drink with him and his friend. We did and chatted for a bit before excusing ourselves to socialize. He found me later that night to ask for my number and even though I was weary of him being a soldier, I gave it to him. He text me later that night to make sure I got home ok and to ask me on a date the next weekend. The rest is history!

2. How long have you been together?

Not very long at all but when you know, you know! We met August 21, 2010 and got married October 5, 2010.

3. Did you kiss on your first date?

I guess technically we kissed before our first date. LOL. I went to a baseball game in town with some friends the night before our "real" first date and he met me there. My friends left early, so he offered to drive me home so I could hang out with him and his friends a little longer. When he dropped me off, we kissed.

4. What attracted you to each other?

He has very deep and kind eyes, a sweet smile, and dimples that make my heart melt! He would probably say the thing that attracted him to me the first night we met was the pink dress I was wearing! LOL. He noticed me in the parking lot before even going inside! :)

5. What's the sweetest thing they've done for you?

The second week after we met I got a REALLY bad cold. I didn't leave my bed for days. He text me and asked if I liked surprises. I said, "I am female, of course I do!" He showed up on my door step a little later with a big container of chicken noodle soup and a HUGE bag of "feel better" stuff including: two boxes of dayquil, two boxes of nyquil, a waterless Vicks Vaporizor, refills for the vaporizor, and every flavor of Halls cough drops they had! It was SO sweet and thoughful!

6. Where's the farthest place from home that you've been together?

A cruise to the Bahamas for our honeymoon.

7. What's the last thing they bought you?

Dinner at Outback and he took me to a movie for our last "date night" before I had to come back to Augusta for a few weeks. I have to take care of things before the movers come to get my stuff to ship to Italy.

8. Where was your last kiss?

The Tampa airport before I flew back home.

9. When you're not with each other, what do you miss the most?

I miss talking to him. I miss laughing with him. I miss snuggling with him. I miss his dimples. I miss his kisses and hugs. I miss falling asleep and waking up next to him.

10. What's one of your favorite memories with them?

Our first date and our wedding. I had to pick two.
